This week I made a short trip to KHIO Oslo Academy of Fine Art for a workshop with the teaching staff. By the kind invitation of the dean Stine Hebert, we had a full day to work on pedagogy in arts education, and to discuss the role of the teacher in the light of #metoo and intersectional relations of power. I also met with Liv Bugge, research fellow at KHIO, for an interesting conversation on the future of artistic research, comparing PhD studies, the politics of Norwegian oil, and meditations as artistic practise.
